The FVHS CTE department plans to add six new advanced technology courses in fall of 2016. Ask your counselor and look for these courses as you register for classes this coming February.

AP Computer ScienceThis is a college-level introductory course in computer science. A large part of the course is built around the development of computer programs that correctly solve a given problem. FVHS students must have completed AP Stats, AP Calc, or Computer Programming I to sign up for this course.
Sci Vis IIThis course provides students with advanced skills in the use of complex visualization tools for the study of science, technology, or mathematical concepts.

AP Computer Science PrinciplesThis rigorous, introductory AP-level course is intended to familiarize students with the general concepts and thinking practices of computing, computer science, and information science.
Technological DesignThis course follows Technology Engineering and Design by continuing to apply the skills, concepts, and principles of design. The design fields of graphics, industrial design, and architecture receive major emphasis.

SAS ProgrammingThis course is the entry point for students to learn SAS programming. Students will learn how to plan and write SAS programs to solve common data analysis problems. FVHS students must have completed Computer Programming I to sign up for this course.
Computer Programming 1This course is designed to introduce the concepts of programming, application development, and writing software solutions in the Visual Studio environment.
